The worst is yet to come – let’s make the best of it.
Prep Kitchen is an ongoing exploration of what might be on the menu at the end of the world. Drawing on the cult of doomsday prepping, traditional methods of preservation, and local current food trends, the aim of the project is to provide creative and practical survival techniques in the event of an emergency. In a time when it is easy to adopt a dystopian outlook, Prep Kitchen celebrates resourcefulness and self-sufficiency.
The latest iteration of Prep Kitchen is Apocalypse Lunchbox – an immersive installation designed to act as a visual representation of a survivalist’s handbook, with a focus on food. Visitors will be allotted a lunchbox ration based on the ’bunker larder’ and foraging, to be enjoyed in a post-apocalyptic setting. The exhibition takes place over two days at Studio Mossutställningar.
Curated by chef and artist Dani Berg in collaboration with Studio Skulptur.
Opening 28th May 18:00, closing 29th May 20:00.
